When I was a child, my uncle made ornament trees like this for friends and family each Christmas. Years later, I found myself thinking about those simple, elegant displays and decided to create my own version, carrying on a cherished holiday memory that I’m delighted to share with others.

The tree is constructed from sturdy wooden dowels that form its branches and trunk, topped with a laser-cut Baltic birch plywood star. It features a natural wood finish that complements any holiday décor, while the white-painted MDF base provides a clean, classic foundation. The entire piece is sealed with a clear protective finish for added durability and years of seasonal enjoyment.

As you’ll see in the accompanying video, I designed this tree to showcase one particular collection of ornaments, but it’s wonderfully versatile.
